I am a painter working in Oil, pastel and watercolor. I paint from my experiences. I work in series, exploring an idea, first with studies in watercolor or pastels. What I consider the best compositions are applied to canvas with oils. As a result the painting subjects range in a wide spectrum reflecting the time and place I am living in.

Each season I make it a point to move around to new destinations to gain some small experience of the world scene and the people that conduct their lives in those places. I listen to stories and observe the work people do, the celebrations of their customs and the environments they are surrounded by.

My education began with the Art Students League in NY and continued to Ringling School of Art in Sarasota and to The University of Guanajuato in Mexico where I received a full scholarship and a MFA in painting.
